From Curtain Call to Class Registration: Don’t Miss a Beat
If you have a dancer in the house, the next six weeks are the best ones of the year — recital season in Guelph is here:) Whether you're a proud grandparent looking for tickets, a newcomer trying to figure out where to enroll your little one in the fall, or just someone who loves watching this city show up for its kids, here's everything happening between now and the end of June, plus what you need to know about registering for the 2026-27 season.
Recitals — May & June 2026
- Guelph Youth Dance — May 19 & 20, 6:30pm at River Run Centre
- The Guelph Academy of Dance — May 23 & 24, 1pm and 5pm shows, E.L. Fox Auditorium (JF Ross CVI)
- Royal City School of Ballet & Jazz — May 23 at 7:30pm, May 24 at 3pm, River Run Centre
- Emotion Dance Company ("Boogie In The Bayou") — May 29, 6pm, River Run Centre
- Performance Dance Academy ("On Broadway") — May 31, 11am & 3pm, River Run Centre
- Guelph Dance Festival (the professional showcase) — June 5–7, with Paratopias on June 6 at 8pm
- Holly Hughes Dance Academy — June 8–13, River Run Centre (their 42nd annual!)
- Elite Dance Project — June 20, venue TBC
Fall 2026-27 registration
- Guelph Youth Dance — Company priority opens June 1, current families June 7, public shortly after
- Performance Dance Academy — open now; classes start September 13
