What Does It Mean for Real Estate?
Real estate continues to be listed as an “essential service” by the Province. That means that real estate businesses and board offices can continue to operate while the Province is in Shutdown and real estate transactions can continue to close ( OREA Covid-19 Update ).
Open houses are prohibited but properties can still be shown by appointment only.

What We’re Doing
- No public open houses
- Private showings only (no shared showings)
- Limiting in-person interaction
- Practice of social distancing
- Use of hand sanitizer, hand washing and disinfecting as per Public Health’s guidelines
Digital Practices
- Use of e-signatures (Docusign)
- Video conferencing (Zoom, Skype, Facetime)
- Electronic communication (email, phone calls, text, WhatsApp)
- Virtual tours (photos, 360° tour, iGUIDE 3D Tour)
- Online promotion (various listing sites, social media, andraarnold.com)
