Okay, I have to admit – when I first heard Guelph was getting its own fashion week, I was beyond excited! Two nights of runway shows featuring our local designers? Yes, please! It's such a fantastic way to see the creative talent that's been bubbling up in our city. Plus, the style pop-ups are perfect for discovering some unique pieces you won't find anywhere else.

Community Tree Planting & Diggable Day Downtown (September 18 & 27)

If you're like me and you want to give back to this city we love while getting your hands a little dirty (in the best way!), these community events are perfect. There's something so satisfying about planting trees that will grow and beautify our neighborhoods for years to come. Plus, it's a great way to meet neighbors who care about our environment as much as you do.

This is where things get really exciting! Ontario Culture Days turns our entire region into one massive arts celebration, and Guelph always goes all out. Strom's Farm Fall Fun (September 19 – October 31)

Now we're talking about some serious fall fun! Strom's Farm is basically autumn heaven – pumpkin patches, corn mazes, wagon rides, and that perfect "fall photo op" you've been dreaming about. I take my family every year, and honestly, the kids have just as much fun as the adults (maybe more!).

Erin Fall Fair (October 9–12)

Just a quick drive from Guelph, but oh so worth it! This historic fair has that authentic, small-town charm that makes you feel like you've stepped back in time (in the best possible way). The agricultural demonstrations always fascinate me – it's amazing to see the skills and traditions that built our region. And don't even get me started on the local food trucks!

Okay, confession time: I may have a slight obsession with butter tarts, and this festival is basically my personal heaven! Canada's most beloved pastry deserves its own celebration, don't you think?
